December, 2005. Christmas Wishes to you all from all of us at the Wallsend Self Help Group.

Our current programme of meetings for 2005 has come to and end, and our new one is being written - please check back in the new year for details of our next programme.

September, 2005. We are pleased to announce the following changes in our Programme of Meetings:

  • Wednesday 12th October: Demonstration of Indian Head Massage, and
  • Wednesday 9th November: Guest Speaker, Dr Mark Papworth (Consultant Clinical Psychologist), will discuss Coginitve Therapy.

These events will replace the previously advertised schedules for these days.




September, 2005. The Wallsend Self Help Group is pleased to announce that we are looking for your sponsorship... A friend of the group has kindly volunteered to participate in The Great North Run in order to raise much needed funds for our organisation. The race, a half marathon, will take place on Sunday 18th September between Newcastle and South Shields. If you would like to sponsor our runner, or even raise sponsorship for the group from your own race or event, please contact our co-ordinator, Terri Conley, at our usual address.

Alternatively, you may like to make a donation directly to our group. The Wallsend Self Help Group is a non-profit making organisation and we rely entirely on donations and goodwill to keep the service we provide up and running. If you feel unable to make a donation, thank you for hearing us out, and we hope you find the information on this site useful. However, if you would like to help us to help others, we thank you.




August, 2005. The new programme of meetings is in full swing and, as always, we are open to new members. If you live in the Tyne and Wear area, or travelling to Wallsend is something you are able to do, and you would like to attend any of our sessions, please contact us for details of our fortnightly venue. July, 2005. Here we are, over half way through the year, and it seems like only yesterday that I wished all our members and site visitors an Happy New Year. And as it's the mid-point in the year, it's time for us to unveil the new programme which will see us through to the end on 2005. The Wallsend Self Help Group are pleased to announce that our new Programme of Meetings is now online. and that meetings will begin again on Wednesday 3rd August, 2005. January, 2005. Happy New Year to All!. The Wallsend Self Help Group are pleased to announce that our new Programme of Meetings is now online. and that meetings will begin again on Wednesday 5th January, 2005.

The new programme covers the period January 5th to June 29th, 2005. Our meetings are relaxed, welcoming and confidential, and will include the usual breathing / relaxation / gentle exercise sessions, followed by a friendly, informal discussion about specific topics as detailed in the programme. If you would like to attend any of our meetings, which are held in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, between 7:45pm and 9:45pm on alternate Wednesday evenings, please contact us for further details.
